My Sister… a pocono mom

Nov 10th, 2006 | by CousinPaulie | Posted in personal | one comment »

My sister (Neil’s cousin, and the only granddaughter in the family) moved to PA years ago. She lives near Bushkill, on a mountain where they hunt deer for food and live in a wooden shack with no indoor plumbing. OK, that’s a lie… but that’s what I pictured when she said that’s where they were moving to.

Living in PA, it has not been easy for her. The isolation, having to travel miles to a “corner” store. I don’t understand how she deals with that. I need the city… I need the noise and clammer. Police sirens, and the occasional homeless person singing music at the top of his lungs. I would miss it so much.

To keep in touch with her friends back in the real world, and to let people know what happening in her life she started a blog. She is not as technical as Neil or myself so I have been helping her out with tweeking the site to make it the best it possibley can be. You can check it out here.

Hopefully you will enjoy it, as much as I have been helping her create it.

awesome post! outstanding! especially the part with the “i’m not touching you!” since that is EXACTLY what you used to do to me when you were just a wee little boy. and thank you both, neil and paul for letting the world know about my little shack and blog!
