The Garden Society of Bayonne summer meetings will be held on Tuesday, July 15th, Tuesday, August 19th and Tuesday, September 16th at the Bayonne Public Library at 7pm. Use the side entrance on 31st Street (you will have to ring the buzzer). Signs will be posted. The agenda of the meetings will include recent and upcoming field trips, seasonal plantings, updates on members projects and planning club activities. The Society is open to residents of Bayonne who have a passion or interest in gardening. New members are always welcome.

Theer are 3 opportunities to view the Butterfly Gardens at the Doris Duke Estate in Mid July to early August. The trips are small number, so reservations are required and a butterfly expert will accompany each group during the 2 hour tour. It also gives an opportunity to see the gardens of the estate before the renovation reopens the farm for public tours in 2010. Independent reservations can be made for th3 3 schedule dates through their website: dukefarms.org
